Manchester Creative Viola Studio at the Royal Northern College of Music

The Manchester Creative Viola Studio is a collective of young professional musicians based at the Royal Northern College of Music. Directed by international musician and composer Garth Knox (formerly of the internationally renowned Arditti Quartet) their aim is to interact musically with other art forms including cinema, sculpture and dance, taking classical music beyond the confines of the concert hall.

For performances  keep an eye on  the events at the  Cornerhouse Cafe (right beside Oxford Road Station in Manchester).

Belsize Baroque

Belsize is a Baroque orchestra comprising music students, young professionals, and amateur players, directed by top directors such as  violinists Matthew Truscott ( OAE) and Adrian  Butterfield ( Royal College of Music).

The orchestra would be delighted to hear from existing or aspiring  baroque violists!

Viola  players from  undergraduate to  mature students will  find it  really useful to play the repertoire with our directors and to network with each other. Some of them will be taking baroque as second study.

The orchestra  performs  several times a year generally in central London. For further details please see click   here
